My suspicions were right. After some rework the pcb now boots and plays, but with some graphical issues. I need to go over the pcb with a magnifying glass now and should hopefully find whatever faults remain

Hantarex MTC9000 repair start
Working, but has wavy lines and some distortion, the top and bottom of the screen missing even though it doesnt fill the tube.
Hantarex Us250 fixed?
Replaced all caps, reflowed all solder joints, replaced bad diode in 12v supply and replaced fuses with correct values. Time to go check this works in the chequered flag cab
Hantarex US250 repair start
High ripple on the +5v, failed +12v and one of the fuses has been wrapped in wire, which is never a good sign

Re-wire time
This is my trusty Jamma cab of 13 years being gutted for a re-wire. The edge connector has survived over 2500-3000 pcb insertations, but now it is falling apart ( no suprise there ) The mains lead also needs replacing as does the SMPSU which is now only outputting 4.4v max

Monaco GP monitor fixed
Just leaving Monaco GP for a burn in test after fixing the monitor. Once I am happy with that the boards need looking at as the game seems to be running crazy fast
Yet another cracked K7000 LOPT
I am starting to agree with the KLOV guys... K7000 LOPTs are terrible. I am going to have to source some new ones now grrr
19K7915 monitor repair in progress
So after finding the melted LOPT on the APB monitor, I have taken a donor LOPT off another K7000 chassis ready to fit on this chassis.
As usual, when I have any monitor on the bench that still has its original capacitors in place, I replace every single one including the B+ filter and the non-polar video caps.
After that is done, I need to check the board over for faults. The fuse has vaporised, which usually means there is a dead short somewhere, as the LOPT melted, I will asume it is probably the HOT that has shorted with it, but it could also be the main regulator

Atari APB LOPT failure
Well I found out why there was smoke coming out of the coin door of APB. Looks quite clear now lol.
Despite people on KLOV complaining about WG K7000 LOPTs failing regularly, this is my first K7000 LOPT failure EVER, and I must have about 20 K7000s

Chase HQ Lives
New power supply in and cleaned up the monitor to stop the arcing. The road has lines in it, so need to fix that at some point, but at least it is playable. I still need to get a replacement steering mech as this one does not self center anymore
Road Runner monitor repair in progress
I am told these GD monitor chassis suffer from a few bad caps ,so I have orded Panasonic long life replacements for all the caps on the chassis. When they arrive I will give the chassis the usual check over and reflow. It would be nice if the fault was just down to bad caps, but I will check over the components in the SMPSU section anyway. ( The fault is struggling to start up, the PSU can take 100+ cycles before it will properly start and stabalise.

Winding Heat
Well I have got Winding Heat playable again. Sadly there is no sound and the monitor needs a fair bit of work, but at least it is on again
